Phase Descriptions

Beaten phase wojak

Beaten

Recent large price decline — often triggered by a failed run or macro pressure. The company's market cap is depressed, its financing options are narrowing. This is where the cycle often restarts.

CRITERIA: Recent large price decline below historical norms.

Silent phase wojak

Silent

Volume below the 10th historical percentile. The stock has stopped moving. Retail attention has moved on. The tape dries to a trickle — a median of 0.44× run-week volume. This silence is not health; it is dormancy.

CRITERIA: Volume below 10th percentile of historical range.

Coiled phase wojak

Coiled

Post-split, volume compressed, price below the split price. The reverse split has happened. The price has been reset. The share count is already growing again through warrant exercises and ATM offerings. The stock is a compressed spring. Median fuse: 43 trading days.

CRITERIA: Post-split. Volume compressed. Price below split price.

Armed phase wojak

Armed

Coiled + fresh supply registered. An S-1 or 424B prospectus filed in the last 90 days means shares are registered for resale. The gun is loaded. 83% of documented runs ignite from below the split price. Going-concern language typically appeared in the most recent annual filing.

CRITERIA: Coiled + S-1 or 424B filed in last 90 days + going-concern language.

Running phase wojak

Running

Price and volume breakout signature active. In the median run week, 1.6 times the entire float changes hands. At the 75th percentile: 7.2 times. The spike exists because somebody needed to sell everything. You were the liquidity.

CRITERIA: Active breakout: price + volume spike above run-detection thresholds.

Crashing phase wojak

Crashing

Post-peak, price declining from run high. The median stock loses 30–48% in the six months after the peak. The cycle is complete — until it starts again. 45% of tracked tickers host 82% of all documented runs.

CRITERIA: Post-peak. Price declining. Run-high established.

These six phases describe historical patterns, not live signals.

The narrative above reflects aggregate research findings derived from five years of market data. Per-ticker pages on this site show only SEC EDGAR filing data: share counts, stress filings, and supply registrations. Live per-ticker market data (price, volume, phase assignment) is not redistributed here. We do not predict stock prices or allege illegal activity.
